The Emerson Resort & Spa may provide complimentary transportation for up to five guests to Phoenicia, Woodstock, Hunter and Belleayre Mountain. Transportation requires 72-hour advance notice and availability is not guaranteed.

Car
Car services such as Uber and Lyft are extremely limited in the Catskills. We highly recommend securing all travel arrangements prior to arrival.
NYS Thruway, Exit 19 (from the north or south)
From the tollbooths take the immediate right onto NY Route 28 West (toward Pine Hill) for a 20-mile drive through the mountains. After Route 212 enters from the right, look for our white picket fence on the right. Proceed 20 yards further west on Route 28 to the main entrance of the Inn on your right.
Train
The Amtrak train line stops at the Rhinecliff station which is approximately 45 minutes from the Emerson. Please be sure to contact Amtrak directly for train arrival and departure times, fares and route information.
Air
- Stewart International Airport in Newburgh: Approximately 60 minutes to the south of the Emerson.
- Albany International Airport: Approximately 75 minutes north of the Emerson.
- John F. Kennedy International Airport, La Guardia and Newark = Approximately 2 ½ hours travel time to the Emerson. To reach the Emerson using public transportation from these airports, connect with either Adirondack Trailways bus service at Port Authority or Amtrak train service at Penn Station.
- Additional air service is available via Westchester County Airport in White Plains (approximately 2 hours from the Emerson).
Private Aircraft
Private jet aircraft can be serviced and fueled by several support firms at Albany (ALB), Westchester County (HPN) or Stewart (SWF) airports.

Complimentary EV Car Charging Stations
The Emerson is ready to charge any electric vehicle model with eight Tesla Electric Car Charging Stations. Eight complimentary Tesla charging stations are located in the Inn parking lot. This includes two stations configured to accept your adaptor for non-Tesla vehicles. These stations charge your car at an average speed of 29MPH. Whether you are coming in for the Spa, Catamount restaurant, shopping at the Shops at Emerson or enjoying an overnight upstate New York getaway, you’ll have peace of mind knowing you can give your electric car that extra boost while traveling.
