Across the United States, people have been itching to travel around the country, but many have concerns about best practices to stay safe and healthy during vacations. At Emerson Resort & Spa, we’ve instilled a Stay Safe Pledge to help ensure our guests have a worry-free, Catskills, NY, vacation. While our Upstate New York resort does everything within our power to keep you and your loved ones well-taken care of, we’ve also assembled a list of New York public health and wellness tips that’ll behoove your experience.

New York Public Health & Wellness Tips

Before you make way for our Catskills mountain resort, make sure you’ve packed a few health and safety essentials. We all know that washing your hands for 20 seconds with anti-bacterial soap and warm water is the best way to go. However, you won’t always be near a sink, so make sure you pack some travel-sized hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 percent alcohol. Many indoor establishments require face masks for entry, so please make sure you and your loved ones have multiple face coverings to wear for the trips. Bandanas made of 100 percent cotton work well, too! Respect social distancing conditions and maintain a distance of at least six-feet apart from anyone not in your traveling group.

As far as things to do in the Catskills that comply with New York public health tips, take a look at plausible outdoor activities like hiking, biking, going to wineries or breweries with outdoor seating, and so much more! Spending time in nature provides excellent opportunities to bond with your loved ones, relax, get some exercise, and comfortably put distance between yourself and others.
