In fact, at Woodnotes Grille, one of our on-site dining options, we try to use as many locally grown ingredients as possible. See how these items go from farm to table by visiting one or two farms during your next stay. Depending on the year, several of these spots are open for pick-your-own adventures.
- Visit the Phoenicia Farmers Market, Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. A locals’ fave and located right down the road in the town of Phoenicia, you’ll find a variety of vendors including delicious ready to eat options and handmade soaps.
- About 20 minutes away, Zena Farmstead raises and sells vegetables, meat, eggs, and more. Their farmstand on Zena Road is a great option to stop and get everything you need for a picnic lunch.
- Place an order with Farmstock Farm to enjoy incredible produce from first-generation farmers. They offer several different options throughout the year, including their winter market filled with salad mixes and other greens.
- Saunderskill Farms, in nearby Accord, has been in production since 1680 and has been owned by the family for more than 10 generations. Stop by in June for pick-your-own strawberries and blueberries, or visit the bakery for freshly made goodies.
- Roughly 30 minutes away is Davenport Farms, located in Stone Ridge. The family-owned business includes a farm market, wholesale vegetable farm, and greenhouse. Stop by the market to stock up on homegrown produce, homemade soup, baked goods, and more.
- For a different kind of farm experience, head to the Catskill Native Nursery in Kerkhonkson. This is a must-see for any plant lover. Since 1999, the Catskill attraction has been growing stunning flora. The nursery is open seasonally, so check the hours of operation before visiting.
