Guest Policies


A deposit of 50% is required to guarantee your reservation.  All accounts are payable in full upon check-out by cash, credit card or travelers checks.


Check-in is at 3:00 p.m. and check-out is at 11:00 a.m.  Please be aware early arrival and late check-out requests CANNOT be guaranteed.

Late Check-Out Policy

Check-out is 11:00 a.m. Based upon our occupancy and availability, we may be able to extend your check-out time to 1:00 p.m. at no charge. Should you stay after 1:00 p.m. a charge of $50 plus tax will be applied to the credit card on file. Guests who have not vacated their room by 5:00 p.m. will be charged the full room rate.

Cancellation Policy

Your reservation is guaranteed by a 50% deposit charged to your credit card upon booking.  Cancellations made more than 72 hours prior to your arrival date will receive a refund of the deposit less a $30 processing fee per reservation.  Cancellations made less than 72 hours of your arrival date will result in a forfeit of the entire deposit.

Late Arrival/Early Departure

Rates are not adjusted for late arrival or early departure.  You will be charged for the full reserved time period if you decide to shorten your stay.

Non-Smoking Policy

All guest rooms are designated as non-smoking and a $250 deep cleaning fee will be added to the applicable room account should a room entertain any form of smoking.

Pet Policy

We are honored to host quiet, well behaved dogs.  There is a $35 per dog, per night fee and Reservations must be notified you are travelling with a dog at the time of booking.  Proof of current vaccination is required at check-in.  To assure the comfort of other guests, please supervise your dog(s) at all times – dog(s) should not be left in your room alone.  Please keep in mind dog(s) are not allowed in the pool area, Woodnotes Grille or Spa.  For the safety of your dog(s) and our guests, please make sure your pet is leashed whenever out of your room and on Emerson property.

Spa Policy

We strongly suggest making Spa reservations as quickly as possible by calling our Reservations department at (845) 688-2828.  Spa availability is not guaranteed and some or all services may not be available upon check-in.  If you have a Spa appointment, please check-in at the Spa Desk 20 minutes prior to your first scheduled appointment.  A minimum of 24 hours advance notice is required to cancel or reschedule to avoid a 50% charge for the missed service.  All no-show appointments will be charged at full value.

Woodnotes Grille is a popular venue for breakfast, Happier Hour and dinner.  Please contact us at (845) 688-2828 for reservations.

Cell Phone Service

While taking advantage of our location in the Catskill Mountains, please keep in mind that cell reception may be limited. There are cellphone boosters throughout the property, but, cellphone reception is not guaranteed in all rooms or locations on property. It is important to note that Verizon and AT&T work the best and Sprint or T-Mobile can now use cellular over wifi calling that you can enable on your cell phone. Phone calls

Any phone calls, anywhere in the United States, from your room phone are complimentary – just dial the area code and phone number you wish to reach and press the dial now button on your phone.

Internet Access

High speed wireless internet is complimentary throughout the entire property, and have recently added new wi-fi hotspots throughout the property as part of their recent renovations for 2015 and 2016. Receptions will vary based on your device. Typical speeds for our complementary high speed wireless internet for guests are 20 mbps. Higher dedicated internet access is available for conferences and events.
