Arriving by Air
The closest airports are Albany International (ALB) a little over one hour to the
north and Stewart International (SWF) located about one hour to the south in Newburgh.
Guests flying into New York City via
John F. Kennedy (JFK), LaGuardia (LGA),
or Newark (EWR) airports can be met by
our shuttle service, which much be arranged in advance or can travel by rental car or private car service (must be reserved in advance).
The Emerson Resort & Spa is about 2-1/2 hours drive from these airports. To use public transportation, guests can make their way into
Manhattan and connect with either Adirondack Trailways bus at
Port Authority or Amtrak
train service at Penn Station.
Additional air service is available via Westchester County (HPN) airport in White Plains,
NY that is about two hours from Emerson Place.
Private Aircraft
Private jet aircraft can be serviced and fueled by several support firms at Albany (ALB), Westchester County (HPN) or Stewart (SWF) airports. Stewart has the second longest runway on the East coast and serves as a backup landing site for the space shuttle.

For private single or twin-engine aircraft the Kingston-Ulster Airport (20N) offers a 3,110' X 60' asphalt runway.

Arriving by Car
NYS Thruway, Exit 19 (from the north or south)
From the tollbooths take the immediate right onto NY Route 28 West (toward Pine Hill) for a 20-mile drive through the mountains.
After Route 212 enters from the right, look for our white picket fence on the right. The Emerson Country Store and World's Largest
Kaleidoscope will appear shortly afterwards on your right. For check-in, proceed 20 yards further west on Route 28 until you see the
Main Entrance sign. Turn right here and loop around to your right until you are under the porte-cochere entrance, where you will be
greeted by our friendly porters.

Arriving by Train
Car service is available for guests arriving by Amtrak train
in Rhinecliff, NY, located on the east side of the Hudson River. This service must be reserved in advance and a small fee will be
charged. Call our front desk staff at to arrange this service.
Arriving by Bus
Adirondack Trailways runs buses between Port Authority in New York City and Kingston NY. Some buses
continue on and pass by the Emerson Resort and Spa. This allows guests to complete the entire round trip from New York City via motor coach.
The driver will make a special stop at the intersection of Mt. Pleasant Road and Route 28; however, advance notice must be given to the driver
to make this stop. Guests may also choose to be picked up at Kingston by car, but this service must be reserved in advance and a small fee will
be charged.
If you select Adirondack Trailways as your means of transportation, please inform the
reservation department so that you may be greeted in Kingston or at the drop off site near the entrance to the Emerson Resort and Spa.
